Dr. Henry D. Train has successfully treated thousands of men and women aged 15-85. He is nationally recognized for providing training to physicians in this specialty.
In 1995, Dr. Train became aware that several of his patients, friends and even family members had significant venous diseases, but were unable to obtain relief. Dr. Train pursued training in Phlebology, the study of superficial venous disorders which changed his life and launched a new direction in his practice. Dr. Train joined the North American Society of Phlebology, a small group at the time, and traveled extensively to expand his knowledge. He has been an active member of that society since 1996, now known as the American College of Phlebology. The American College of Phlebology has recently gained recognition by the American Medical Association as a new specialty in medicine.
A graduate of Columbia College in New York, Dr. Train attended medical school at the State University of New York, Downstate Medical Center. Dr. Train completed his four year residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the State University of New York, Kings County Medical Center as Chief Resident.
Dr. Henry Train is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is an active member of the American College of Phlebology.
In 2002, Dr. Train was trained in Endovenous Laser Treatment™ by the inventor, Dr. Robert Min at Cornell University Medical Center. He was first in the Central Pennsylvania area to provide this new, non-surgical procedure to eliminate varicose veins.
