Approximately 80 million Americans suffer from venous disorders, some of which are cosmetic. However, many people have significant pain, swelling or other symptoms caused by venous disease. Recent advances in technology make treatments easier and less painful than they were in the past. Patients no longer need to be hospitalized, and usually can return to their normal activities immediately following treatment.
Dr. Henry D. Train passed the American Board of Phlebology's first board certification examination in May 2008. Dr. Train, now a Diplomat of the American College of Phlebology, has been practicing Phlebology at the Vein Center of Central Pennsylvania since it's opening in 1995.
The American College of Phlebology has recently gained recognition by the American Medical Association as a new specialty in medicine.
